2022 Sunset Hoops Clinic

WINTER IS COMING…..
and we all can use a dose of it during the upcoming Summer heat!
The Coginchaug Basketball Club knows basketball is best played year-round, so we’ve worked to put together some opportunities for our student athletes that we hope you’ll participate in to keep those skills sharp.

We proudly present an exciting opportunity to work with Ed Battle as we welcome the return of Sunset Hoops. The cost is $25 which contributes and offsets the fee for the clinic with this “pro” instructor. (The CBC will absorb the remaining cost of the clinic) Our vision for the CBC athletes entering grades 4-8 is that they will sharpen their offensive and defensive skills on the CRHS outdoor courts and become stronger competitors for the upcoming season.

The fine print for Sunset Hoops
2022 Summer Session Dates:
June 23
July 14, 28
August 4, 18

Time: 6:30-8:00 PM

How You Register
Registration is now open on the CBC Website. If you are interested in registering for this program please contact Mark Smolley at  .

What to bring:
Every athlete that attends the clinic must bring age appropriate basketball
Water bottle
Basketball appropriate sneakers for the outdoor courts

Our goal is to keep the Club’s vision ongoing, which is to COMPETE and dominate the upcoming basketball season.

**If anyone knows of any incoming 4th grade parents who have children that are interesting playing basketball at the competitive level for boys or girls please pass this along and ask them to contact Mark Smolley at the email address above. We’re looking for coaches at this level too.

2022 New England Basketball Championship

The Coginchaug Thunder 5B team concluded their successful season by competing in the 2022 New England Basketball Championship. The three-day tournament was held at Rhode Island College and included teams from all over New England. The 5B team finished with a 3-1 record on the court. Off the court the team enjoyed many team bonding activities. Congrats to the players, coaches and families! Keep rebounding and defending!
